Conference Background

The Pennsylvania Partners Annual Employment, Training & Education Conference was first organized in 1984 and has since grown to attract more than 1,300 professionals from all facets of workforce development. Attendees include Workforce Investment Board staff and members, PA CareerLink® One-Stop, Department of Public Welfare and County Assistance Offices, adult basic education providers, career and technical educators, Department of Education staff, economic development professionals, as well as other community based organizations. The event is cosponsored by federal and state agencies that are partners in the workforce development system.

More than 60 workshops and multiple keynote sessions are offered during the conference. National trainers, presenters and keynote speakers offer their expertise throughout the 3-day event. Statewide and local experts contribute knowledge and share resources with colleagues on topics such as industry, youth, business services, fiscal management, reporting, partnership models, TANF, adult education and credentialing.

The conference features a large exhibition hall with the most up-to-date, relevant products and partnerships. Governor’s Achievement Awards are presented to outstanding participants in workforce development, welfare, and aging employment and training programs who have overcome obstacles and achieved success. State agencies also present awards to outstanding Pennsylvania employers for their contributions and support of the commonwealth’s workforce development system.
